Privacy Policy

Pet Blueprint is an iOS app developed and operated by Stefano Poma ("we", "us"), based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what the app does — and deliberately does not do — with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device. We run no accounts, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no database of users.

1. Information you put into the app

Pet Blueprint stores the information you enter — your name and photo, and your pets' profiles (photos, feeding routines, dietary notes, habits, vaccine selections, emergency contacts, and notes) — locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to us or to any server we operate. If you have iCloud device backup or local backups enabled through your Apple account, this data is included in those backups under Apple's terms, controlled entirely by you.

2. Sharing blueprints

When you choose to share a pet's blueprint (for example via AirDrop or Messages), the app creates a file containing that pet's profile and your name and photo as its creator. That file goes directly from your device to the person you choose — it does not pass through our servers. Recipients store the blueprint on their own device. Your private notes and favorites are never included in shared files.

3. Network requests the app makes

The app makes one type of request to a server we operate: fetching the curated marketplace product list from marketplace.petblueprint.com (served via Cloudflare). Like any web request, this exposes your IP address to the server, which is used only to infer your country so we can show region-appropriate products. We do not log, store, or link this to you, and no account, identifier, or personal data accompanies the request. Product images in the marketplace load directly from the relevant retailer's servers, which receive standard web request data (such as your IP address) under their own privacy policies.

4. Marketplace and affiliate links

Marketplace items open in your browser on the retailer's website. From that point, the retailer's privacy policy applies. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission on purchases at no extra cost to you; this does not involve any transfer of your personal data by us.

5. Camera and photo library

The app requests camera and photo library access solely so you can attach photos to pet profiles and your own profile. Photos are stored locally with the rest of your data and are never uploaded to us.

6. Children

Pet Blueprint is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — children included, by design.

7. Your rights and choices

Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or erase on your behalf: deleting the app deletes your data from your device (backups you control may retain copies). We honour the principles of Canada's PIPEDA and similar privacy laws. If you have any privacy question or concern, contact us and we will respond promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects your privacy (for example, adding optional sync), we will update this policy and change the effective date above before those changes ship.
